Or, more appropriately, Where's Drew? Drew Prober is in charge of the renovation of the library at Fremont High School, and he's in this photo somewhere -- see if you can spot him.
The library at Fremont High is important to us for several reasons. One, it's where we do our writer coaching at the school. Two, it's a beautiful space, with massive arching beams, exquisitely carved and soaring high over the room. And three, its renovation presages the complete redesign of Fremont High, scheduled to take place over the next two years. The campus will look entirely different, with an appealing central open space surrounded by the buildings that will form the property's perimeter.
New campus, writer coaching for students -- lots of reasons for Oakland families to think about sending their kids to Fremont High!
